Quella Jackson, MA

Senior Care Manager for Adaya Program

uella is passionate about seeing children and their families have healthy relationships by discovering how to grow together through understanding each other. Her role at Chosen allows her to see her passion come to fruition; as a Senior Care Manager, Quella works directly with parents and caregivers, providing parent coaching and therapeutic resources for those in need of trauma-responsive care techniques.

Quella joined Chosen in December of 2021. She has worked in the child welfare system for thirteen years, serving children through intercity sports camps, child protective services, and residential treatment centers. She’s had training in trust base relational intervention and trauma-informed care. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Child Development and Family Living from Stephen F. Austin State University. She received her master’s degree from Liberty University studying Human Services Counseling, focusing on Parenting and Child and Adolescent Development.

Quella supports the mission of Chosen by wanting to see the family unit heal through healing trauma. She has the confidence that all children should be able to live in a safe, healthy home. She believes that if the children heal, the family heals, therefore breaking the cycle of abuse and neglect.

Quella is the author of the children’s book, The Traveling Pen, My New Home. She wrote this book with foster and adoptive youth in mind. She has plans to write more books in the future. Quella serves at her church in the children’s and youth department and is a woman’s small group leader. In her free time, she enjoys playing with her dogs, watching movies, gardening, and going to coffee shops.
