Monica Bidwell is a Care Manager for Chosen. She has a bachelor’s degree from Murray State University and is a Trauma Competent Caregiver Trainer and is working on her Level Two Certification with Equipping Minds. She has also completed the TBRI 101 Coursework through the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development.
Monica is also bilingual in Haitian Creole. She has served in breakout sessions and parent panels with Christian Alliance for Orphans and Orphan Care Alliance. Monica contributed part of her family’s story to the book Peace In the Process: How Adoption Built My Faith & My Family by Kristin Taylor, and she has been a guest on the Adopting and Fostering Home podcast. She is the founder of a group called Moms Connect in her church community and is a speaker for women’s ministry events and Bible studies.
Monica and her husband Scott have three children, two of whom were adopted domestically. She enjoys working outside with her family on their small farm, watching her daughter dance, and being the loudest mom at her
boys’ soccer games.
