Karina is passionate and determined to make a difference in the lives of both children and families. Her role at Chosen will allow her to make a positive impact and provide the best care possible to those she serves.
Karina is bilingual and has over 20 years of experience in early childhood development, dislocated and disadvantaged children and families in foster care, and refugees. Karina joined the Chosen family in 2021 and is very enthusiastic to continue her journey in social service.
In addition to her education and decades of experience, Karina has obtained several certifications in case management, service coordination, and child development. Being fluent in Spanish, she has had the opportunity to provide parenting workshops as well as complete evaluations and screenings for children of Spanish-speaking families.
Karina and her husband, Michael, have been married for 21 years and have had the joy of adding their adoptive son, Logan, to their family. Throughout her journey, Karina experienced struggles, despair, and even discouragement. But she never lost hope. It is this same hope that Karina wishes to bring out in others. She strives to provide families with the strength to overcome obstacles.
